Registration: Pre-race registration can be done on-line at this web site, via mail, or at booths located in the Wilkinson Student Center from March 7-9 from 11am-1pm and March 12-16 from 10am-3pm. Click here to register online.

Pre-Race Bib and T-Shirt Pickup: Runners are encouraged to pick up their t-shirts and bibs prior to race day to avoid waiting in lines before the race. Pre-race bib and T-shirt pickup will be Thursday and Friday, March 15-16, 2011 at the Rex Lee Run booth in the Wilkinson Student Center from 10:00am-3:00pm and the University Parkway Center from 4:00-7:00 pm.(view map).
Race Location: The 5k race (at 9:00 am) begins outside the BYU Outdoor Track
located just south of the Lavell Edwards Stadium. The 10k race (at 9:10 am) will
start at 150 E 800 N, right in front of Brick Oven. If you are running the 10k race
and plan to attend opening ceremonies at the outdorr track, you will need to
walk/jog/run quickly to the 10k starting point immediatel following the opening
ceremonies.
Race Distances:
The length of the 5k is 3.24 miles long
The length of the 10k is 6.16 miles
Race Time: The starting cannon for the 5k race will be fired at 9:00 A.M. and
at 9:10 A.M. for the 10k race on March 17, 2012 by a member of the Lee family
(Note: This is a change from previous years! In the past the 10k has started
first but in order to facilitate the flow of runners we are starting the 5k first
this year.). Runners that have registered previously and need to pick up bibs and
shirts should be at the Outdoor Track a minimum of 30 minutes before the race to warm
up, get their bibs, and grab their Rex Lee Run T-shirt. The T-shirt sizes run large,
so please order accordingly and get there early to pick up desired sizes. T-shirts
come in XL, L, M, S, and YL. Again, if you are planning on registrering the day of
the race, registration is only open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:40 A.M.
Race Timing Equipment: We are again using an electronic timing system this year. Participants will wear an electronic chip on their shoe during the race. This timer will activate the moment a participant steps over the start line and crosses the finish line, so please keep back from the line until the race has started to ensure accurate timing. These chips must be returned at the finish line (there will be volunteers to help you) or mailed to the BYU Cancer Research Center, E-181 Benson Building, Provo UT 84602.
Family Fun: Music, entertainment, and Stadium
Seating to watch runners make their finish around the track. Bring the
whole family for a good time and to support your runners.
Strollers and Small Children: Strollers are admissible in the race, but please stay to the back of the starting pack so no one is hit or injured during the start. Both races are very crowded to start off because of the large turnout, please be courteous. Small children are also admissible and encouraged to participate but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. The Rex Lee Run is not responsible for unaccompanied small children.

Prizes: Medals will be given to men and women winners in age brackets. Numerous prizes will be awarded through a random drawing after the race.Anyone can participate in the raffle without having to pay the race entry fee.
Examples of past prizes include:
a Rex Lee Run scooter, a home entertainment system, Southwest Airlines tickets, longboards, guitars, movie tickets, and dining certificates to various local restaurants. Everyone has a chance to win! Raffle entrants must be present in order to win. Please do not submit name or race tag at the end of the race if you will not be in attendance for the drawing.
Many fun and exciting prizes have been gathered.
Honor a Cancer Fighter:
Honor a friend or loved one who has battled with cancer. During the Rex E. Lee Memorial Run at Brigham Young University on March 17, you can show your admiration for a cancer victim or survivor by having a runner wear a Courage in the War Against Cancer certificate bearing the name of your cancer fighter. How to Find the Race Site: From I15 take the University Parkway exit and go east to the intersection of University Ave. Parking is available in the Lavell Edwards Stadium lot.
Parking: Parking will be available at the Brigham Young University Y Lots surrounding the stadium, please follow signs and instructions of volunteers. Please be courteous, we are sharing these lots with other organizations.
As a guest of BYU, and to help you enjoy your stay, please remember
that Disability Stalls, Dean and Official Stalls, Service Stalls, Red Curbs, and
other specially reserved spaces, require specific permits. Parking in any of
these stalls without the proper permit will result in a parking citation. Please
remember that timed stalls are enforced for the time posted.
